This past weekend, Buffalo celebrated Saint Patrick's Day with two full parades. The first, the "Old Neighborhood Parade," takes place in the city's historic Old First Ward in South Buffalo. The older, larger parade starts downtown and heads down Delaware Ave to North St. The latter parade is one of the oldest in the nation. Do you know what year it started?

Buffalo has celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with parades  as long ago as 1811, however, the tradition lapsed several times.
