The final segment in our popular posts on why you should work with a Realtor when buying or selling your home. 5. Negotiation Skills It's always wise to choose someone who can negotiate on your behalf. You will have emotions connected to the deal. You Realtor will be able to bring an impartial view to the proceedings and assist you in making the best decisions. Ultimately, the final decision is up to you, but having a trusted partner will help to point out things you may not be considering when decisions need to be made.

6. Paperwork, Paperwork, Paperwork The paperwork in the real estate process can be overwhelming. Now imagine coordinating the paperwork in addition to all front end activity, such as open houses, showings, marketing and all other back-and-forth between seller and buyer. Different documents are needed for each step of the process and forms change whether you are buying or selling your home. A Realtor is going to be able to help you navigate the volume of paperwork as well as help you to understand what it is that you're signing.

7. Referrals New York State Realtors depend on referrals as a major source of new business. Therefore, we are going to work hard so that you are completely satisfied and will refer future business to us. These referrals in turn give us access to others that may be a good fit for your needs, whether they be finding a seller or buyer. Given our time in the industry, many of our clients now come from referrals and we hope you'll also enjoy working with us so much that you tell your family and friends. In fact, we'll even provide you with a $50 restaurant gift certificate for all referrals that close. The real estate transaction is complex and a process that you do not want to go through alone. Find someone you can connect and relate to you since you'll be working closely with them.

Good luck on getting your home sold and/or buying your next home and we hope we'll hear from you!
